Seven Summits Lounge

A glass-roofed lounge on the river in Peja. Coffee from early morning, pizza, pasta and risotto through the day, and a glass of wine or a fine cigar when the evening comes.

Seven Summits is named after the highest peak on every continent, and it is run by people who have stood on all seven. Guests come back for the pasta and the risotto, and for a welcome that feels personal: the owners reply to reviews themselves.

Seven summits, one father and daughter

The Seven Summits are the highest peaks on each of the seven continents, from Everest to Puncak Jaya. The lounge’s owner, Mrika Nikçi, climbed all seven with her father, Arianit Nikçi, between 25 January 2018 and 15 August 2019. Guinness World Records lists their 1 year and 202 days as the fastest time for a father and daughter. Their expedition suits are on display inside.

An espresso on a café table

“The owners are just genuinely nice, not the fake customer-service kind of nice. You can tell they actually care about the place and the people who walk in. Felt like hanging out at a friend’s place”
